Quick connection and disconnection

TWINSTAR^® connect automatically when engaged straight. All you need to do is push the two pieces straight together. This simple action makes each half rotate to the right (clockwise) slightly and connect to each other. Disconnect operation is also very simple. When rotated slightly to the left (counterclockwise), the halves separate automatically and move apart.

Intrinsically adaptive Connection Force.

TWINSTAR^® converts water pressure into connection force. The higher pressure rises, the stronger connection force grows and ensures the engagement. Dynamic sealing also utilizes the inner pressure to get a better seal.

Identical Shape

TWINSTAR^® is a unisex coupling with identical connection mechanism. It is not necessary to confirm the direction of the hose in the firefighting scene. Furthermore, unlike the conventional unisex fire coupling, TWINSTAR^® has more connecting positions. It is much easier to get engaged. Connection can be made without visual aid in complete darkness.

Light weight and Compact

Because of the simple mechanism, TWINSTAR^® has less weight and size than existing couplings, while performing at similar strength.

Simple Structure

TWINSTAR^® has very simple structure. Ball plunger assembly is the only movable part and made of stainless steel that is tolerant of abrasion and free from corrosion. TWINSTAR^® is the only coupling in the world executing the direct connection of the two bodies without any help from rotating or sliding parts.
